BSBI runs regular Open Days, giving you an opportunity to:

  • Talk to our staff and students about the wide range of programmes we offer;
  • Speak to our student advisors about the college and student life in Berlin;
  • Take a tour of the campus;
  • Pick up information and guidance on all aspects of college life.

You will also find out more about the courses that interest you and get information about funding your studies, accommodation and student support.

Please note that places are limited, so it is always a good idea to book early to confirm your place.

BSBI Lectures

The BSBI Lectures series is a recurring event with world-renowned personalities and guest speakers. The lectures aim to draw attention to the importance of economics and innovation in today’s changing world, creating a bridge between education, community and society.

With every lecture, our guests will take the audience on a journey, sharing the expertise gathered through their life and career.

The BSBI Lectures series will draw attention to many of today’s most relevant topics and issues, creating parallels between different viewpoints and ideas. The lectures will take place in the school’s Auditorium and will be open to all students and staff.

24 May 2019 - Mexico and the future of the Americas

The second event of the series launched in January 2019 will be hosted by His Excellency, Mr Rogelio Granguillhome Morfin, Ambassador of Mexico to Germany.

At the end of the lecture Sagi Hartov, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Berlin School of Business and Innovation, will appoint His Excellency as Honorary Fellow of BSBI.

“Mexico and the future of the Americas”

According to the PwC 2050 Report, Mexico will be one of the fastest growing economies in the next decades, likely to overtake G7 countries such as the UK, France and Germany.

The lecture will aim to explore the new trends within business and innovation from this part of the world, indicated as one of the emerging global markets destined to shape the future economic landscape producing a shift in leadership from G7 to E7 countries.

H.E Mr Rogelio Granguillhome Morfin

A specialist in international economic affairs and cooperation for development, His Excellency has been Ambassador of Mexico for more than 16 years. He has published a significant number of texts in specialised journals such as Foreign Affairs and Foreign Policy, and has participated as a speaker in more than 100 international academic events.

Following his studies in International Relations, His Excellency Mr Morfin started his career covering different roles within economy and politics to strengthen the network of collaborations for Mexico around the world. From 1995 to 2009 he has been Ambassador for Mexico in Uruguay, South Korea and India. After coming back to Mexico to head economic and international cooperation departments, he was appointed Ambassador to Singapore in 2013, and then to Germany in 2017.

29 May 2019 - Afghanistan, Economy and Innovation

His Excellency Mr Abdul Jabar Ariyaee, Ambassador of Afghanistan to Germany, will be the guest of honour to host the third lecture in this series.

 His participation also looks to help BSBI in opening collaborations with the Arab world, for the benefits of its current and future students. As the first act of this growing relationship, His Excellency will be appointed Honorary Fellow of Berlin School of Business and Innovation.

“Afghanistan, Economy and Innovation”

During the lecture, His Excellency will look at the economic landscape in Afghanistan, as the country has been rebuilding itself over previous years. He will also focus on the ongoing and flourishing bilateral relations between Afghanistan, Germany and the EU.

H.E Mr Abdul Jabar Ariyaee

His Excellency obtained a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Politics and International Relations from Kingston University of London, after having studied at Balkh University in Afghanistan.

Throughout his career, he has covered roles within business, management and media, including holding the position of Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to the Ministry of Education, before being appointed as Ambassador to Germany in 2016.
