The role

  • Oversee and deliver a comprehensive International Student Recruitment and Brand Development
    Strategy for BSBI
  • Development and Management of an active student recruitment Agency Network
  • Identify marketing media channels and monitor brand development opportunities
  • Attend fairs and university visits to promote and recruit potential students
  • Hands-on management of prospective student applications
  • Handle daily inquiries regarding all courses from potential sources
  • Providing individually tailored professional advice at all times
  • Negotiating and coordinating advertising, if applicable
  • Assess market suitability in accordance with organization’s policies, objectives and standards
    providing regular reports on sales and marketing figures and numbers
  • Keep track of all scholarships and keeping an overview of average price per student
  • Training agents, business developers and sales teams all over GUS for BSBI programmes
  • Supporting BSBI to increase revenue by advertising BSBI school programmes to business
    development

Specific Job Knowldege, skills and abilities

  • Excellent communications and IT skills including Excel
  • Experience working within the International Student Recruitment space is essential
  • Fluent English and German language skills
  • Ability to travel up to four months out of the year
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead teams
  • Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies
  • A positive and determined approach to researching and analysing new business opportunities
  • Strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone, and
    presentation
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

 

Required / Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business or Economics
  • Min. five years experience in B2B, B2C and/or Business Development

The role

  • Plan, prepare, teach/deliver modules and support student’s learning on a range of
    programmes and related subject areas
  • Provide guidance, support and tutorship for student groups and individuals as
    appropriate
  • Use a range of delivery techniques to enthuse and engage students
  • Material and audit preparation
  • Online platform preparation
  • Orientation and induction planning
  • Meet partnership and internal quality assurance processes in relation to programmes
  • Develop and grow relationships with partnership organisations
  • Carry out academic administration duties as required
  • Maintain personal and professional development in line with agreed appraisal and
    development program in order to enhance personal knowledge and contribution to
    relevant activities

Experience
Applicants should have suitable and relative teaching experience and should hold a MA/MBA or
higher degree in a relevant subject area. PhD holders with current publications are welcomed.
A teaching qualification would be advantageous.

  • Develop, organize, execute and supervise all examinations, assessments and assignments for all of BSBI’s academic programmes
  • Cooperate closely with lecturers and programme manager on campus
  • Work collaboratively with (international) partner Universities, executing regulations and schedules

  • Support the faculty in the delivery of assignments and assessments
  • Organise the set-up and ensure the smooth and timely running of exams and other forms of assessments
  • Organise timetables and schedules
  • Prepare exam sessions
  • Manage exam materials online and offline /information management
  • Support colleagues in career services on campus
  • Work effectively with diverse range of service providers and colleagues
  • Manage any other tasks given from time to time by the senior management of BSBI

Minimum qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor degree (or equivalent)
  • High level of customer focus and excellent attention to detail, first-rate organisational skills
  • High level of discretion, diplomacy, and cultural intelligence
  • Experience in working, living or studying abroad or with international audiences
  • Fluency in German and English


Preferred qualifications

  • Proven track record in the areas of academic affairs, student services, enrolment management, continuing education, programme development, and administration
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new approaches, methods and innovative solutions
  • Additional languages skills, such as French

The role

Programme Consultants are responsible for promoting the BSBI programme portfolio to potential students over the phone and via e-mail, forming a vital and integral part of the sales team. The purpose of the role is to manage the pipeline of students from initial application right through to payment of tuition fees.

You will work with minimum day to day supervision, leading on and managing the consultative sales process within established parameters and procedures. They will require a thorough understanding of relevant systems/processes, BSBI product or of the working environment. Role holders will strive to achieve set targets, organise their own day-to-day work to meet clear objectives.

Independence and initiative will be required to react to changing priorities and work circumstances, with scope to make decisions within clear parameters. This may also include responding to complaints and escalated issues and resolving problems involving other departments. They will typically set and monitor standards within their own work area, with scope for improving operational effectiveness and quality service through the application of process improvement.

Key activities and responsibilities

  • Providing individually tailored advice to all prospective students
  • Consulting students through the full application circle: from initial conversation through to finalising and closing their application to study with BSBI
  • Exploring possible career paths for students and matching it with specific BSBI offerings
  • For international students: advising/ making student aware of on visa, immigration issues and compliance.
  • Handling enquiries regarding different programmes from potential students
  • Building commonalities to gain trust and engage potential students
  • Provide outstanding customer service to all students, and all stakeholders, which is timely and efficient, and encourages students to choose GUS
  • Handling student enquiries regarding different programmes from potential students business partners
  • Providing individually tailored advice at all times
  • Displaying a positive and professional image of BSBI at all times, acting as a positive ambassador for the school 
  • Account Managing students applications from original enquiry to payment of tuition fees
  • Holding some open days on campus representing BSBI
  • Possibly some business development with other German language schools to create relationships with schools

·         An undergraduate degree, or equivalent experience.

·         A relevant sales qualification.

Knowledge/Skills

·         Customer focused with excellent interpersonal skills to include professional credibility, relationship building, and influencing – ‘customer comes first’.

·         Expert in Excel, able to run pivot tables and presentations.

·         Both advisory and sells skills

·         Analysis and decision-making skills.

·         Excellent presentation skills and a high level of confidence

·         Ability to multitask in a busy, highly pressured and fast-paced working environment

·         Be able to provide career guidance and explore relevant career pathways for students

·         Excellent verbal and written communication

·         Experience of using a CRM or Sales Force

·         An understanding of Higher / Further education and an interest in working in the education sector.

Experience

·         Proven background in new B2C / income generating role

·         Experience of developing and implementing key account processes.

·         Previous experience in face to face consultative sales position

·         Proactive, self-motivated and goal-driven with a ‘can-do’ attitude.

·         Organised, confident, self-disciplined, thorough and logical.

·         Experience of operating in a sales role internationally.

The post holder may be asked to undertake different or additional duties in line with business requirements at the request of their line manager.
