BSBI Hamburg joins the Summer Digital Art and Design Academy in Warsaw

From June 23 to June 30, BSBI students from the Faculty of Creative Industries, Academy of Art in Szczecin and Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw came together for the summer school to work with the Warsaw community.

The BSBI delegation of 21 students participated in computer and digital art workshops which were carried out by professionals in the field. Art exhibitions were also held in Warsaw, with two more scheduled in Wolin and Szczecin.

The Summer School gave an opportunity to discover more about the region’s history and cultural legacy. The topic of combining technological advancements with creative interventions was also emphasized.

I had a great experience meeting creatives from different countries and fields. It was interesting to work on a creative project as a group. We were given a lot of creative freedom, and I definitely learnt a lot. We had some really talented mentors and they were very eager to teach and offer assistance. I also liked the mode of storytelling used to share the initial information with us as I love listening to history as stories! Overall, I’m grateful to have been given this opportunity! Also, Warsaw old town is stunning!” – Gargi Pandurang Shingte, Student Participant.

“Apart from the knowledge gained from the workshops, this summer school offered students the chance to improve their skills in group work, learn about each other’s diverse fields in the creative industries, and connect with new people in an international environment.” – Dr. Hesam Mosharraf, Lecturer, Faculty of Creative Industries

“Art and Creative industries are about meeting people, being together, and experiencing the same events that build identity and create memories. I’m very happy that our students could experience that and broaden their horizons.” – Dr. Monika Klein, Dean of Faculty of Creative Industries, Lecturer

This event is part of the T.A.B Innovation Hubs for Tech, Art, and Business project which BSBI joined in 2023. The initiative promotes creativity and teamwork in business, technology, and the arts.
