BSBI organises workshop and photoshoot for Hamburg creative students

On Thursday 25 and Friday 26 April, the Berlin School of Business and Innovation Careers Service team organised the ‘Networking for Creatives – workshop and photoshoot’ for students at the BSBI Faculty of Creative Industries Hamburg campus.

On Thursday, the workshop was conducted at BSBI’s Hamburg campus Auditorium and was attended by 30 students pursuing various creative arts programmes at BSBI.

Michael Ferenc, Careers Service Manager, and Martyna Zmijewska, Careers Advisor, conducted the session along with Soheil Moradianboroujeni, Director of Photo and Video Production at BSBI. They explained the importance of having a profile on various professional online platforms, specifically focusing on Behance and LinkedIn.

During the session, the hosts demonstrated how to create a creative profile from scratch or enhance an existing one, how to optimise its content to attract recruiters or fellow designers and impress hiring managers and how to search and apply for relevant vacancies.

They also used existing BSBI student and graduate accounts on Behance and LinkedIn as example profiles that the team had helped to improve. Soheil Moradianboroujeni also explained the importance of a professional personal image in the creative sector.

The following day, BSBI organised an all-day professional photoshoot for workshop participants so that the students could update their CVs and creative online accounts with newly acquired images.

As the importance of online networks grows for both candidates and recruiters, these types of sessions are now offered systematically to BSBI students and recent graduates at both campuses in Berlin and Hamburg.
