Creative Projects
Andreas Theurer is a film director, screenwriter and lecturer.
Since 2022 he has been a senior lecturer at the BSBI Faculty of Creative Industries, Hamburg.
He was a lecturer for film and animation at the HTK Hamburg (2015-22), the HTK Berlin (2017-20) and in the marketing department of the TV channel Station Pro 7 / Sat1 (2015-17).
Andreas Theurer has 35 years of experience as film director and screenwriter in the Internet, TV and Cinema industry. He directed Internet, TV and Cinema Series such as “STROMBERG“ (2004-5), „STROMBERG, Mehr Wissen macht nix“ (2012-14) with Christoph M. Herbst and THE OPTIMIZER with Christian Tramitz (2016).
Andreas Theurer directed numerous advertising campaigns such as Tchibo: “KAFFEE MÄHT IN GERMANY” (2017) and Deutsche Knappschaft: “DOCH DAS GEHT” (2016).
He wrote screenplays such as “BRASILIEN” (2011), which received funding from the Hamburg/Schleswig-Holstein Fimförderung.
He worked in the film direction department as script, script/continuity, assistant director and 1st Assistance Director in more than 60 different productions in Germany, Greece, Finland and the USA (1990-2003).
He studied communication, media, theater and film studies at the Universities of Erlangen-Nürnberg and Cologne. He completed his studies with a thesis on the motif of the journey in the films of the American filmmaker Jim Jarmusch with a Magister Artium grade 1 at the University of Berlin (1997).
