Our team

Overview

Dr. Alina Baskakova specialises in operations research, and modelling for logistics and supply chain management. She holds a PhD in Economics from St. Petersburg State University of Economics. Prior to joining BSBI, she worked in Russia as a lecturer at the National Research University Higher School of Economics and St. Petersburg State University of Engineering and Economics. She has 11 years of practical experience as a project manager in transport and logistics consulting. She has participated in more than 25 projects and managed over 10 projects, including the implementation of transport master plans for the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup and the 2018 World Cup in Sochi and St. Petersburg, as well as the development of the National Technical Standard “Roads of General Use: Requirements for Economic Studies”. Her scientific interests lie in the application of economic and mathematical methods and models for decision-making in economics. Her expertise includes analysis and forecasting of cargo transportation volumes and structures, as well as transportation costs in the supply chain.
