Overview
Amir Teimourian is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse educational background and a rich history of academic and research contributions. He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and a Master of Science (MSc) in Aerospace Engineering from Azad University (Science and Research Branch) and the University of Hertfordshire, respectively. Amir further advanced his academic journey by earning a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Eastern Mediterranean University in 2016.
After completing his doctoral studies, Amir embarked on a dedicated academic career. In 2017, he joined the University of Kyrenia as a lecturer, where his passion for aeronautics and wind energy flourished. His commitment to academic excellence was quickly recognised, leading to his appointment as the chair of the Aeronautical Engineering department in 2018. During his tenure at the University of Kyrenia, Amir made significant contributions to the development of research in aerodynamics and wind energy. He played a pivotal role in coordinating the Master of Science programme in aeronautical engineering, demonstrating not only his expertise in the field but also his leadership capabilities.
In August 2022, Amir took on a new challenge by joining the Hermann Föttinger Institute at Technische Universität Berlin as a visiting researcher. In this capacity, he focused his efforts on investigating innovative approaches to optimise the aerodynamic performance and efficiency of ground vehicles, with the primary goal of reducing CO2 emissions in the road transport sector. His work at TU Berlin exemplifies his commitment to addressing real-world challenges and contributing to sustainable solutions in the realm of transportation.
In November 2023, Amir returned to teaching and joined the Berlin School of Business & Innovation (BSBI). As a lecturer at BSBI, he continues to inspire and educate the next generation of leaders, emphasising the importance of sustainability and cutting-edge research in the ever-evolving field of engineering.
