Overview

Dr. Syed Muhammad Ali has many years of experience in teaching, research, and administration. Dr. Ali was appointed as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, at the School of Management, Hefei University of Technology (HFUT), China as a Category A foreign Top Talent in 2019. He completed his Doctor of Management Science in Business Administration degree from the School of Management, University of Science & Technology of China (USTC), China in 2016, one of the top-ranking University according to The Times Higher Education World University Rankings and included in the top nine China universities C9 League, which stands for the leading segment of China’s tertiary education system. He also holds a Master’s degree in Management Sciences from the Faculty of Management Sciences, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science & Technology (SZABIST) Islamabad, Pakistan and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Hons) from the Faculty of Management Sciences, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), Pakistan.

Formerly, he has served as a Temporary Visiting Faculty (TVF) and then as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Engineering Management, National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST), Pakistan from Feb 2017 to Aug 2023. Moreover, he has also worked as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Management Sciences, Abbottabad University of Science & Technology (AUST), Pakistan. He served as a Lecturer at the Department of Management Sciences, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT), Pakistan as well as at the Department of Business Administration, IQRA National University (INU), Peshawar, Pakistan. He also taught some modules as a Visiting Faculty Member at the Institute of Management Studies, University of Peshawar, Pakistan from Jan 2010 to Jan 2011. Additionally, he served as a Coordinator of professional diploma in Certified Quality Assurance Professional (CQAP).

Dr. Ali was also engaged as an Introducer, selling life assurance policies at Jubilee Life Insurance Company Limited, Islamabad, Pakistan from Nov 2008 to Feb 2011. Furthermore, he worked voluntarily with One Laptop per Child (OLPC), a non-profit organization. This program was started at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) USA in 2005, delivering an educational ecosystem to create innovative learning experiences which enable children around the world to build their knowledge and encourage individual empowerment. Dr. Ali also worked on some projects and currently working as a reviewer of some international reputed research journals. He performed different administrative duties and supervised several student’s thesis successfully. He is a team member and supporter of Future of Work and Organizational Psychology (FoWOP), a worldwide intellectual platform for imagining a better future for the work and organizational psychology field, researchers, institutions & society.
