Sports have long been recognised as a powerful tool for promoting peace and social cohesion. They provide a neutral ground where individuals from diverse backgrounds can come together, interact, and understand each other. The universal appeal of sports transcends cultural, political, and social boundaries, making them an effective medium for fostering dialogue and reconciliation in conflict-affected areas.

To explore this connection between sports and peacebuilding, the BSBI Academic team, under the initiative Agents for Peace, is organising the “Peace and Sports” event. Join us on 18 July 2024 at 2 PM CET in the Holographic Theatre, Alte Post Berlin Campus, to discover how sports can serve as a universal language that promotes understanding, unity, and harmony across diverse communities.

Dr. Gemma Vallet, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and Lecturer at BSBI, will host Nagaraj Mannikeri, Marketing Officer at BSBI, to discuss the potential of sports to promote global peace.

Join us for this enlightening event and become an agent for peace through the power of sports. Together, we can make a difference and contribute to a more harmonious world.

Important: We will accept registrations on a first come-first-serve basis. Please sign up early to book your spot!
