Workshop

If you’re looking to attend the upcoming GGG Career Fair on 7th November at BSBI when over 30 stands will offer excellent networking opportunities,  we would like to give you some useful advice and tips on how to prepare for this event and maximise its potential for your future career. The session will cover topics such as:

  • Preparation for professional events in Germany – dress codes, research, expectations vs reality, communication style
  • In-person networking strategies at career fairs
  • Do’s and dont’s in networking
  • How to use LinkedIn/Behance in post-event follow-ups
  • Cultural differences for networkers in Germany

This year’s Fair will be  subject to thorough evaluation from its participants and we will inform you about when and how you can give feedback on the Career Fair and what awards will be available in the draw for its participants.

Photoshoot

An integral part of a networking platform account in Germany is a professional profile picture. As part of the workshop, you will have the opportunity to have a personal image taken by the BSBI Photo and Video Production team on the 29th October and use it during your networking at professional events.

An individual photoshoot lasts only about 15 minutes and you will be able to choose your slot for the 29 October. Only students who attend the workshop part on the 24 October (in person or online) will be allowed to have their photo taken the following week.

Speakers:

MA PgCert Michael Ferenc, Careers Service Manager, BSBI

MA Paul Tran, Careers Advisor

BA Soheil Moradianboroujen, Director of Photo & Video Production, BSBI

Due to the restricted photo-taking schedule on Tuesday, places on this workshop are strictly limited and unregistered entry will not be allowed.
