BSBI Dean participates in Malta Maritime Summit

Recently, Dr Shiv K. Tripathi, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at the Berlin School of Business and Innovation, represented BSBI at the Malta Maritime Summit.

At the summit, Dr Tripathi moderated a session on Prioritising the Human Element, featuring Mr Xanthos Kyriakou, Managing Director at Columbia Shipmanagement, and Captain Alexia Fenech, Technical Coordinator at Malta Motorways of the Sea, as panellists.

Additionally, he participated as a speaker and panellist in a session on Digital Transformation: Digitalisation, Automation, and the Transformative Power of AI, alongside Dr Josianne Cutajar, a lawyer and former Member of the European Parliament. This session was moderated by Mr Andreas Chrysostomou, CSO at Tototheo Global and Executive Director of the Clean Shipping Alliance.

Reflecting on the summit, Dr Tripathi commented: “The event attracted key stakeholders in the shipping and maritime sector worldwide. Entrepreneurs, academics, CEOs, government officials, and ministers came together to discuss the sector’s role in driving sustainable growth.”
