BSBI Empowers Dissertation Students with Research Methodology Workshop in Paris

.
The Berlin School of Business and Innovation (BSBI), in collaboration with PPA Business School Paris, hosted an in-depth research methodology workshop for students from the March 2024 intake as they embark on their dissertation journeys. Held on 25 and 26 February 2025 on campus, the workshop was a resounding success, with students actively engaging in discussions and refining their research skills.
Dr Ibrahim Baghdadi, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, led the two-session, four-hour workshop, equipping students with the essential tools to navigate their dissertation process. The sessions covered key aspects such as formulating research questions, defining aims and objectives and developing a research proposal. Students also explored research philosophies, methodologies and strategies, helping them choose the most effective approach for their projects.
Beyond theory, the workshop provided hands-on training in data collection and analysis, including qualitative, quantitative and mixed-methods research. Students learned to determine sample sizes, test hypotheses and analyse statistical data with confidence. The sessions also reinforced BSBI’s academic standards, with guidance on applying the Harvard referencing style.
Dr Baghdadi highlighted the importance of the workshop, stating:
“This workshop was essential for students preparing their graduation projects, combining theory and practice. Student participation was noticeable, as evidenced by the types of questions asked and their level of engagement, reflecting their eagerness to learn and creative thinking.”
