Student Perspectives

Jade Gail, – Bachelor’s student in Animation, shared insights into her project, “True Awakening.” “My project is a small sliver of creativity in comparison to ‘Bending Reality,’ a world I’ve been constructing for a couple of years now,” said Jade. “BSBI has taught me to embrace not only creativity but diversity within creativity. I’ve learned a lot about different techniques and how to apply them, which has significantly improved my work as an artist.”

Diana, another animation student, reflected on her project inspired by the rainy days of Hamburg. “The most difficult part was the style I chose, which is stop-motion animation, something I had never worked with before. Figuring it out along the way was challenging but fun. The teachers at BSBI encouraged me to stay creative and explore new techniques, which was incredibly valuable.”

Anders M., from the Dominican Republic, showcased his project “Esa,” drawing inspiration from his diverse international experiences. “The main challenges I faced were related to the software I used, particularly Blender. I had to teach myself how to use it, but it was an enlightening experience. BSBI has supported my creative decisions and guided me through the process, helping me to grow as an artist.”
