BSBI hosts Ernst & Young GmbH event for students

On Thursday 19 January, BSBI hosted one of the world’s largest accounting firms, Ernst & Young GmbH (EY), at its new campus in Alte Post in Berlin. The event titled, ‘Ernst & Young GmbH – New Year’s Consulting Kick-Off’, was organised for BSBI students.

Five representatives of the organisation, ranging from interns to senior consultants and managers, delivered exciting presentations about the firm itself, its service departments, quantitative methods in consulting, their Financial Crime, Compliance & Conduct (FCCC) work and, most importantly, about the different pathways into EY available to students and graduate applicants.

Our guests included:

  • Oana Andreea Popa, Senior Consultant, Financial Crime, Compliance and Conduct
  • Dr. Thomas Schwarz, Manager, Business Consulting
  • Denise Wirth, Manager, Business Consulting
  • Sebastian Leidich, Business Consultant, Finance Department
  • Alissa Fink, Intern

Following the presentations and the subsequent Q&As, BSBI students and members of staff had the unique opportunity to speak individually to all five EY representatives during a one-hour informal networking session where drinks and snacks were also provided.

Michael Ferenc, Career Services Manager at BSBI, who helped to organise the event, said: “If you are a student of BSBI or plan to study at this institution, this is the calibre of employers you will be able to meet on our campus, learn from, network with and ultimately work for in the future.”
