BSBI Paris Campus Hosts Successful CV Workshop for Career-Ready Students

On 18th September 2024, the Berlin School of Business and Innovation (BSBI) Paris campus hosted a CV Workshop, providing useful insights to support students in their career development. Organised by the Student Council, the workshop offered comprehensive guidance on creating customised CVs and resumes, covering essential topics such as common mistakes, key dos and don’ts and tips for making CVs ATS-friendly (Applicant Tracking System).

Anuradha Venkatraman, a RNCP Titre Level 7 (PPA) Global MBA (UCA) student at BSBI and a freelance CV/Resume expert with over 10 years of industry experience, led the workshop. She shared valuable insights, drawn from her extensive career as a professional CV creator, giving students a real-world perspective on crafting effective resumes. The session also focused on LinkedIn profile optimisation, providing students with practical strategies for enhancing their professional online presence.

As Anuradha Venkatraman emphasized, “I believe the ‘Resume-writing’ workshop helped students understand how to translate transferable skills from academics to their professional careers and helped them find the right job.”

Owen Dedenys, Student Welfare Officer at the BSBI Paris Campus also shared his expertise, helping to guide the students through various aspects of their professional development. Together, the event highlighted the importance of career readiness and provided students with the tools they need to succeed in a competitive job market.

Students shared their positive experiences from the workshop. Samina Nusrat, an RNCP Titre Level 7 (PPA) Global MBA (UCA) student, remarked, “The CV workshop was fantastic and helpful. I learned how companies select CVs, how to highlight my skill set, and most importantly, the right CV format. After this workshop, I now have a better idea of how to apply for future jobs.”

Similarly, Shinu Saji, an RNCP Titre Level 7 (PPA) MA Tourism, Event, and Hospitality Management (UCA) student, added, “I had a wonderful experience at the CV workshop. I gained knowledge on creating a professional CV and learned how to enhance my LinkedIn profile by removing unnecessary content and adding valuable details.”
