Innovation in Action: BSBI Stars Debuts with Victory in Barcelona

The inaugural edition of BSBI Stars took off in spectacular fashion, with Berlin School of Business and Innovation students making their mark at IDEAUP Ennova Esade – the largest student startup competition in Southern Europe.

After six months of dedicated work under one powerful mission – to build something good that matters – the BSBI Stars team emerged victorious with their innovative startup CTO – Come Try On.

Founded by BSBI and Concordia University Chicago students Divyesh Anchalia and Mazen Daher, CTO addresses one of the fashion industry’s most pressing and often overlooked challenges: the environmental impact of eCommerce returns. Currently, nearly 40% of returned clothing is destroyed, contributing to approximately 16 million metric tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually. CTO offers a smart solution that helps online shoppers choose the right fit the first time, aiming to keep clothes in wardrobes rather than in landfills.

This groundbreaking project was supported by the leadership of Prof. Dr Kyriakos Kouveliotis FRSA, Chief Academic Officer at GUS Germany GmbH and BSBI, as well as Pablo Alonso Gonzalez Ponce, Dmitrii Shiriaev and Dr Gemma Vallet.

With this achievement, BSBI Stars has set a high benchmark for future cohorts, showcasing the potential of BSBI’s talent to lead with purpose and innovation on a global scale.
