Event Details

The concept of the metaverse has taken the tech industry by storm in recent years. It depicts a virtual universe, an interconnected area where people may participate, socialize, work, and play in previously unimaginable ways. While the metaverse presents tremendous potential for creativity and collaboration, the question of whether it is a friend or a threat looms large. This interesting subject will be at the center of the next Provost’s Roundtable discussion. Join us as we explore the intriguing digital universe and its consequences for society, industry, education, and beyond.
As we embark on this journey, we will study the metaverse’s transformative power. It has the ability to change the way we communicate, conduct business, and enjoy entertainment. However, tremendous power comes with great responsibility, and concerns about privacy, security, and the blurring of digital and physical borders have emerged. We hope that this stimulating conversation will provide light on whether the metaverse may actually be a friend who improves our lives or a threat who brings unexpected problems.
Join us as we explore the complexity of this virtual frontier and speculate on its place in our future.
